Congrats to all the runners who trained hard and turned out at this year’s Ottawa Race Weekend — and special congratulations to Canadian Rory Linkletter, who finished third in the marathon.
PM Carney on the Americans calling the alcohol ban an irritant: "You know what's an irritant? 50% tariffs on steel. 50% tariffs on aluminum. 25% tariffs on automobiles. All the tariffs on forest products. Those are more than irritants, those are violations of our trade deal."
@PierrePoilievre It's amazing how shallow you are, if that's the best you can do as an opposition leader. Your way of trying to spin this doesn't really fool any normal human being. Try and be better, Pierre.
❌ Fact-check: Pierre Poilievre
Claim: Mark Carney’s temporary gas tax pause saves drivers “precisely net zero.”
❌ Wrong.
The federal fuel excise tax is about 10¢/L. Pausing it until Labour Day means drivers pay ~10¢/L less than they otherwise would.
Gas prices rising due to global oil markets ≠ “net zero savings.”
That’s a market issue, not proof the tax cut does nothing.
✔ Fact: The pause is temporary.
❌ Spin: Saying it saves “precisely zero.”
If Conservatives want to argue for permanent tax removal, fine.
But pretending a 10¢/L tax pause = zero savings doesn’t pass the math test.
@NYDailyNews Why would she expect the victims to testify to congress? They already gave statements to the authorities! It's on the FBI to bring charges on the men that raped them. @FBIDirectorKash
@Care2much18 Never heard of him, so had to google him. He’s a nobody to me and does not speak for Canadians in general. Another hate-monger.
