SIK Pre-Season Player to Watch: Inman junior Kenna Woods returns as one of the top outside hitters in Class 2A after helping lead the Teutons to a stellar 43-3 season in 2024. Woods earned All-State Honorable Mention honors and was named to the 2A State All-Tournament Team for the second year in a row as she lead Inman to a third place finish in 2A. She filled the stat sheet last season with 306 kills, 503 digs, 96 total blocks, and 87 assists. Woods also earned all-league honors in both volleyball and basketball as a multiple sport standout. “I'm extremely excited for the upcoming season,” she said. “We only lost one senior, so we already know how well we work together. We all understand each other's strengths and weaknesses, which gives us an advantage. We have big goals like getting back to the state tournament, but we also never want to overlook anyone.” Woods tore her meniscus last year during basketball season, but is recovered and ready for a big senior season on the volleyball court. #sportsinkansas

Brenna Rucker of Eureka (2A) was a player we just highlighted to look out for this season and had a huge opening game last Friday for the Tornados. Rucker had 35 points in the season opener against Sedan. Rucker averaged 16.8 points per game last year as a sophomore and was a SIK All-State pick. Look for Rucker to have a huge junior season as one of the most complete players in 2A. #sportsinkansas
