Yes, i absolutely believe the father should not have access to the child if he’s been abusive towards the mom. You cannot be an abusive and a good father. How is that so hard to understand?
Absolutely embarrassing in the year 2025 that convicted domestic abuser Chris Brown still has the backing to be able to perform in and probably sell out stadiums
Black Women of COD was created in 2023 to offer a space for Black women to feel a sense of culture, inclusivity and community on Twitch/COD. Being black in gaming, let alone, a black woman, is such a tough space to navigate when there is racism in every corner.
The stream team includes 140+ women that are African American, African, Caribbean, Afro Latina, and Multiracial. The invitation to join BWOC was public and available to all black women on Twitch and is currently active. Members are allowed to host events that support the mission and give awareness of the team. Applications were viewed and applicants were allowed to advocate for themselves. In this case, the applicant never communicated with the host directly. We do not accept people that foster negative views on the community and women within the org.
Creating a negative narrative about the org ignites disrespect. Race, ethnicity and privilege are terms that should be understood. The negative comments about BLACK women have just proven the adversity we go through on a regular basis let alone in COD. This is bigger than a video game. It also proves why THIS space is necessary. Unless you have been doxed, hate raided, received death threats, or excluded from engagement due to the color of your skin...you will not understand. Once we started creating our own spaces, black women felt a sense of community. We do not have many spaces to thrive in on Twitch. The event yesterday was absolutely uplifting to its participants despite the attempt to dim the light on the overall objective. Thank you to the tournament participants and members of BWOC. We will continue to stand with our marginalized community.
The fact of the matter is the whole point of the BWOC tournament was to bring black woman together that have experienced THIS while gaming. You wouldn’t understand unless you have been through THIS. Big up @TommiiMichelle for hosting an incredible event!
If you abuse women, you are a bitch. If you need proof to see if a woman is telling the truth about abuse she’s endured, you are also a bitch. I hope this helps!
