Hopefully people start realising just to take matters into their own hands

I'd be still be there waiting had i not taken the chance. There was hardly any Irish on the flight yesterday it seems...it was a free-for-all, fire come, first served!

@deniscoakley11 @EmployRightsIE @HMcEntee Just to add, I had a cancelled ticket from Sat & they changed my ticket for yesterday's flight FOC. People from other countries with tickets to other destinations also managed to get tickets for Dub flight (not sure if they had to pay). It can't be booked through Emirates website

I'd take my chances and go to the airport if I were him. Anyway, just trying to help, as there's so much confusion and lack of clear info being given! Hopefully he gets sorted

It's honestly not a viable/safe route for vulnerable people. Better chance getting out from Dubai.
I'd be willing to bet the "consular crisis team" haven't sorted out a flight for anyone! It's every man for himself out there.

@EmiratesSupport Hi @EmiratesSupport. If we booked direct with Emirate, do we need to rebook new flights ourselves or are Emirates going to book people back onto alternative flights?
I was due to be on flight EK163 to Dublin on Saturday at 14.35.
