Give the piece a read. For me, so much of it resonates. Especially as a parent navigating my own mental health and that of my children. They're wonderful little humans who have also taught me so much.
Breaking social media silence to share this.
I've spent much of my life pretending to be OK, convincing myself I wasn't depressed or that I had anxiety. When I had children, something changed. It ultimately led to facing my trauma. "I can do hard things." I love that.
I wrote an article for CBC Parents about my own mental health struggles, and my daughter’s. It was a hard one to write, but I hope it helps others.
Please read and share.

@VoiceDepression Thank you both for doing what you do. Love the podcast. Hearing the stories from others and how similar the experiences are to mine, has been a great comfort.
