@murphallo It’s a brilliant popcorn movie. Worth seeing at the cinema. Honestly feels like a breath of fresh air after years of superhero movies. It’s not brilliant and not high art but it’s just pure fantasy fun.
@1882spurs1 It benefits me. I got them in the office sweep. It benefits someone else at work cause they know they have a better chance than me at taking the prize. At least this World Cup features the world unlike certain other sport competitions with the word world in their title.
@ImmoralMermaid@StaceyHarkey I was gonna say. Since he worked in HR it makes sense for the name plate to say it. Plus it’s clearly a joke about He-Man.
@BeAfraid_Horror Yes. And they do a great job of setting up the world for all newcomers. The only way thing you’ll nissbisbtheow away gags connected to the cartoon series.
@TezzaBelle88 It’s one of the best popcorn movies in recent times. Not everything needs to be winning littlengoöden men or making statements to be analysed in film study classes. Just go and have fun, like the movies should be.
Masters of the Universe (2026):
- did not destroy my childhood memories of the cartoon
- did wipe my memory of the horrific 80s movie version
- in 10-15 years time people will reference it as their gay awakening.

@aussievisionnet@EuroOzdale If a) Delta wasn’t competing and b) the Aussie media didn’t latch on to news that Delta had a strong chance of winning. I feel the non fans would have stayed in bed and the numbers would have been ‘normal’
@JackTheFact29 My completely unhinged Eurovision conspiracy theory: When 🇺🇦 got the sympathy vote and probably couldn’t host, the EBU quietly boosted 🇬🇧 and 🇪🇸 into 2nd and 3rd. Both had huge fanbases desperate to host, then promptly sank back down the scoreboard afterwards. Coincidence?
@theswedenboo I may have teared up in the semi final when the crowd cheered when the two guys appeared on the bridge. Still moves me to this day with how beautiful this performance is.
@MenachemV@SBS Since joining , the AUS Jury (Grand final) has only given 16 points across 2 songs . The public (GF)41 points across 4 songs. 2 points were given by AUS in 2015 when votes were combined. Statistically speaking it’s more likely for Aus to give 0 points than any points.
@JOY_Eurovision@JOY949 I’m actually concerned that if things don’t change in the world in 2026 and nothing changes with the EBU’s approach to the contest more countries will withdraw.
