40 years ago today, "Mountains" by @prince & @therevolution was released as a single. This low res shot is from the #richbensoncollection although it has been shared previously & wasn't heavily circulating. With the ever charismatic photogenic PRINCE, the hat makes me think this is an "outtake" from the "Mountains" video shoot & single cover with those photos being taken by @prince_katz. During this time, lyrics like "Love will conquer if U just believe " mean so much more. After all...it's only mountains...and the sea. Much Love. #prince4ever💜 #prince #parade40
Isao Tomita, 1980. The Moog III wasn't an instrument he bought. It was one he assembled, module by module, sound by sound. The Japanese composer who proved the synthesizer could hold the weight of a full orchestra.
DIRTY MIND (1980)
The album that didn’t just change funk — it rewired pop DNA itself.
A basement-made manifesto recorded “Somewhere in Uptown” by a 22-year-old prodigy on a 16-track machine.
No label interference. No co-producers. No shame.
Just a dirty mind & divine control.
