Almost every morning, I wake up to news that Ukraine has struck Russian oil refineries and weapons factories, and Russia has deliberately murdered civilians. There is no moral equivalence in this war at all. Those who contend otherwise are either ignorant or malign.
Meet Kirsty Coventry, the current President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
Today on Tue Jul 7, under her leadership, the IOC lifted its ban on Russian athletes participating in the Olympic Games - a ban that had been in place since 2023 following Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
This means Russian athletes will face no obstacles to competing at the 2028 Olympic Games. Commenting on the decision, Coventry said: “We don’t want to hold athletes accountable for the actions of their government.”
The decision comes after a series of heavy Russian attacks on Kyiv and across Ukraine, deliberately targeting civilians and destroying sports facilities.
Earlier, on February 12, 2026, it was Coventry who decided to disqualify Ukrainian skeleton racer Vladyslav Heraskevych from Olympic competition over his “Helmet of Remembrance,” which honored Ukrainian athletes killed as a result of Russia’s war against Ukraine.
Before that, she served as the Minister of Sport under the dictatorship of Robert Mugabe in Zimbabwe. Mugabe famously called her his “Golden Girl” following her Olympic gold medal victories in 2004 and 2008.
He also awarded her a diplomatic passport and hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash rewards.

Her name was Hanna Doroshyna.
In one month, she would have turned 23.
Instead, russia killed her.
💔 Hanna was killed alongside her uncle, Vitalii, during russia's overnight attack on Vyshneve on July 6.
She had her whole life ahead of her. russia stole it.
ZELENSKYY: I want to emphasize this. Unlike Putin, we're not fighting this war for pleasure or for geopolitics. Russia brought this war to Ukraine and killing our people. Russia wants to destroy our independence and from the first day of this war, we're only defending ourselves.
Russia has spent $1 billion in the last few days attacking Kyiv. Not building roads, hospitals or fixing the failing economy - on murdering civilians. This is the priority of a nation totally obsessed with terrorism and nothing else.
Day 1595 of my 3 day war. To prevent imperialists discovering location of my front line bunker in Moscow, we camouflaged the inside of it.
I remain a master strategist.
Last night, Ukrainian Unmanned Systems Forces carried out strikes against 47 Russian military targets in the enemy's rear and in Russian-occupied Crimea.
Key targets:
◾️ two Project 15781 tankers belonging to Russia's shadow fleet - Kapitan Barmin and Sanar-4. Each was transporting 7,000 tons of fuel across the Sea of Azov from the Taganrog area to Crimea;
◾️ the Kerch oil depot;
◾️ two S-400 Triumf SAM systems in Russia's Bryansk region and in Crimea, along with a Nebo-U radar in Crimea. All were destroyed.
Glory!
Putin calls Trump before the NATO summit, 90 minutes supposedly talking about peace and ending Russia's terrorist war on Ukraine. Then he goes back to murdering civilians with missiles and drones because he knows Trump and NATO won't do anything.
I hope everyone had a great 4th of July. I know @realDonaldTrump and family did.
250 years ago we declared independence from a king who ran the colonies as a family business. In just 18 months the Trumps have made King George look like an amateur.
A $620 million Pentagon loan, the largest in the program’s history, to a company Don Jr.’s firm bought into three months before.
An Air Force drone contract to a startup the princelings took public through a golf course company they own a piece of.
The Army’s largest drone motor order ever, to a company where Don Jr. sits on the board and holds millions in stock.
A $24 million Pentagon robotics contract to the company that employs Eric as Chief Strategy Advisor.
A stake in the largest undeveloped tungsten deposit on earth, in Kazakhstan, backed by $1.6 billion in US government support.
Jared’s fund seeded with $2 billion from the Saudi crown prince, now $6.2 billion, 99% of it foreign money from Gulf governments. Over $110 million in fees collected from the Saudis alone. He negotiates American foreign policy with the governments that pay him.
$2.3 billion from crypto ventures their father regulates. More than a million people bought in and lost $2.3 billion. The money didn’t grow. It simply moved from the subjects pockets to the crown’s coffers.
And the next one is already drafted. A proposed ATF rule that will allow guns to be shipped straight to your front door. The government’s own estimate is 3.3 million home gun deliveries a year. Don Jr. sits on the board of the online gun megastore built to cash in. He holds 300,000 shares.
And that’s only the fraction they’ve allowed us to see. Not one subpoena served. Not one search executed. Why hide anything when you own the investigators?
Me? They searched a laptop for six years. Federal prosecutors. Grand juries. Subpoena power. Congressional hearings. They found nothing. I made about $200k a year selling paintings when my Dad was President, and they made my paintings part of an impeachment inquiry.
For six years they’ve asked Where’s Hunter? What about the laptop?
Wrong questions. The right one is 250 years old. Does America belong to a family?
They’ve given their answer. Long live the King.
KASPAROV: Regarding "Spirit of Anchorage," I think Trump sold Ukraine down the river to Putin in Alaska in exchange for great compensation to his family. The change of mood in Washington is a reflection of the fact that Ukraine is doing great and Putin has failed to win the war.
Putin’s latest “frontline visit” is pure cinema – and not even good cinema. The Kremlin war criminal, decked out in his dress-up uniform with the big “ПУТИН” name tag, supposedly dropped in on an “auxiliary command post” near the actual fighting.
Except every frame screams studio set. Camouflage netting draped across the walls like cheap theatre backdrop.
Perfectly lit corridors that look nothing like the muddy, freezing holes real Russian soldiers huddle in. The acoustics are so clean you could record a podcast in there.
Even the foliage-covered entrance looks assembled by set designers. This isn’t a command post.
It’s a bunker turned soundstage. For the second day running the internet is roasting this pathetic propaganda stunt.
How many takes did it take to get Putin looking vaguely soldierly? How many nervous generals were sweating behind the cameras praying he wouldn’t trip over the fake props?
The man who started this war is too terrified of his own troops and Ukrainian drones to get anywhere near real combat. So instead we get this: another carefully staged performance where the only thing missing is the director yelling “cut!
”
Russia’s entire war effort has become one long, expensive cosplay. Meanwhile Ukrainian forces keep grinding forward with real weapons, real courage, and zero need for Hollywood sets.
The so-called Russian nation, handed a genuine chance after centuries of serfdom and tsars to finally shape its own fate, chose instead to crawl back into the same yoke. They voted for a new master, locked the collar tighter, and then spent the next decades wondering why the world looks at them with pure disgust. Their own elites treat them like disposable biomass. Their neighbors remember every invasion, every deportation, every burned village. Even they quietly despise what they have become, yet the reflex is always to double down rather than reflect.
Look at the footage coming out of their own regions. Endless traffic jams just to buy fuel that barely exists. People in Bashkiria fighting over gasoline while their regime pours billions into missiles that get turned into expensive fireworks over Ukrainian fields. This is not some temporary wartime inconvenience. This is the logical endpoint of a society that defines itself through domination and then acts shocked when domination produces nothing but poverty and hatred.
They keep asking the same stupid question: why does everyone hate us? The answer is simple and has been obvious since at least 1709. You never stopped being an empire that sees every neighbor as either prey or temporary buffer. You never developed institutions, only vertical power and propaganda. You never learned that sovereignty is not measured by how many fake republics you can prop up with bayonets, but by whether your own citizens can fill a car with petrol without turning it into a national tragedy.
And the worst part? They still believe their own information war. Kremlin mouthpieces on every channel insist the special military operation is going according to plan while their logistics burn nightly from Ukrainian strikes that grow longer-range and more precise by the month. They lost more soldiers trying to capture villages that had fewer residents before 2022 than the villages themselves contained. Their z-bloggers quietly admit another mobilization wave changes nothing except the monthly body count paid in full by Moscow.
This is not a country that can be negotiated with in any meaningful sense. Putin cannot end the war even if he wanted to. Demobilizing a million brutalized men and sending them home to ask what exactly they spent their limbs and lives on is political suicide. The only off-ramp is military defeat so total that the imperial project itself cracks. Everything else is theater.
Ukraine is not asking for favors. We are doing the dirty work of containing an existential threat that Europe spent decades pretending had been civilized by gas contracts and cheap vacations. Every drone that hits a Russian refinery, every strike that isolates Crimea further, every month we grind through 35,000 of their expendable orcs is money and blood that would otherwise be spent on European soil when the appetite finally turns west.
The favor runs one direction only. We bleed so you do not have to. In return we expect weapons, production licenses, and the political spine to use frozen Russian assets for our defense industry instead of storing them like some moral savings account. Everything else is performative hand-wringing that only encourages the next iteration of this same slavish, self-hating empire to try again in twenty years.
They chose the yoke. Again. The rest of us do not owe them understanding. We owe them consequences until the imperial idea itself is buried so deep it never resurrects. Historys rake is waiting, but this time we make sure the handle is pointed firmly at Moscow.
For the second day in a row, everyone has been laughing at this video.
Yesterday, Putin, dressed in military uniform, allegedly made a rare visit to the front line, to one of the auxiliary command posts. In reality, it was a film set inside a bunker. As we can see, they have a lot of props in that bunker:
😅 A camouflage net was hung inside the building.
😅 The flooring, lighting, and acoustics all look like those of a studio.
I wonder how many times they rehearsed it?
@Gerashchenko_en 🤣 None of this footage was filmed near the front line
"They lie to us, we know they're lying, they know we know they're lying, but they keep lying, and we keep pretending to believe them"
🇷🇺 traditions: humiliation dished out by the kremlin & readily accepted by the masses
📢 Friendly warning to anyone working in russian military logistics, the military now has HUNDREDS of @FrontLineKit's completely unjammable drones across the front line.
If you drive on any road within 60KM of the front, your truck will be gone.
This is your warning.
Go home.
I hate it when my trolls claim those innocent guys who totally weren't GRU were deliberately burned alive. It means I have to post the video of them throwing the petrol bombs that they later killed themselves with.
All my trolls are morons.
Her name was Olena Tarasenko.
She was a volunteer in Kherson.
On May 24, while driving through the city, she came under a russian artillery attack. She suffered devastating shrapnel wounds and spent more than a month in a coma as doctors fought to save her life.
Today, Olena died.
She survived for weeks after the attack.
She never recovered.
Remember her name.
Remember who killed her.
