The California Golf Club of San Francisco is a 1926 A.V. Macan design, but in 1928, Alister MacKenzie were brought into to redo the bunkering. More recently, Kyle Phillips renovated the course using MacKenzie’s bunkering as a benchmark. The resulting course is absolutely stellar.
