ESPN listed Raleigh as one of the top locations to land an MLB expansion team.

And the bid has only grown stronger since then. Still one of the few with a billionaire, but now we have two engaged. We’ve got multiple land options, government support, a growing population and a massive TV market. All of these things make it clear that Raleigh is the next best place for MLB.

Now add Canes’ Stanley Cup run, selling out Courage and Blaze games, the Triangle’s universities fandom that is bleeding into pro fandom (high passion + tailgating culture) and it’s easy to see that a rabid fanbase is waiting.

Next time you see an expansion list from ESPN, it will be shorter…and Raleigh’s name should be at the top. #RaleighOnDeck #MLB2NC
