Will get lost in history but that decision to punt from Tomlin was one of the worst in game coaching decisions I’ve ever seen. Would love to see the win/lose expectancy for that one. #steelersvsvikings
Yeah I don’t want to be a negative Nancy but Seattle and Astros not losing is devastating. Let’s say we lose today, which normally would be fine (5/6 vs Brewers and Mets). Then Mondays game if must win. If we lose Monday, we are 3 back with 10 to play. Season basically over.

Looking at the teams left in the WC hunt, I think the team we need to worry about is the Guardians. Go look at their next 12 games. It’s as soft as it gets.
Still riding the high from yesterday’s game. Going into the bottom of the 9th I thought to myself, when your on a hot/winning streak, these are the type of games you pull out. There is a collective belief that no matter what the situation is, we’re going to come through and win.
The play of the game for me was Jung working that walk in the bottom of the 9th after getting behind 0-2. Old Josh would have just instantly chased the next pitch slider in the dirt, but the new Josh stayed patient and got on base and gave us life.
Tonight is the night, win and a Boston loss and we will officially be in the wildcard spot. These next 5 games are absolutely massive. After ATL and LAA we have Sea, NYY and PHI. Need to bank as many wins as we can before the schedule gets super difficult .
Could we possibly sign Haggerty to a 3 year deal worth like 9-10, similar to what Seattle did with Robles last year? The dude is clearly a winning player and in today’s MLB having speed around the bases is essential.
After today I’m officially of the mindset that we need to sell at the deadline. I wanted to believe this team was turning the corner after the twins series but it feels like it’s over. When a 3 run lead feels absolutely insurmountable you know you don’t have a playoff team.
It’s been a tough season but every day brings optimism that it will be the day we turn things around. We got DeGrom on the hill today, let’s go boys. We can do this.. just need to focus on getting back to .500, anything can happen from there.
Is it time to have a conversation about Wyatt? He’s had a really disappointing season imo. I remember watching the SF series thinking he had a chance to be in the MVP discussion. Now he is basically league average.
It’s early in the season but today feels like a really important game. We can take 2/3 from the best team in AL. Also, Seattle has lost 2 in a row and have the Yankees on deck while we play the Rockies. We could really chip away at the division lead over the next 5-10 games.
