Hi @cwmind
We have a small amount of leftover funds from an event that we organised that we would like to donate to an organisation working with young people in Coventry. We are teachers who gave up a Saturday to talk about education, schools and doing our best for students. 1/2
@Ethical_Leader @bennewmark@BrewEdCov Thanks 😊 #BrewEdCov had a great buzz from the start! Saturday morning CPD at its best, so many teachers all in one place to talk about teaching 😀
It was a real treat to be asked to open the event 😀
A fabulous day at #BrewEdCov. Thanks to @Berry1_MP @DaringOptimist @LizSaddler @KLMorgan_2 for organising such a wonderful day with so many excellent speakers - so many takeaways, my head is still spinning - so glad I made notes! 😊
1. My first #brewEd@BrewEdCov a thread. Sorry for not knowing handles, please do tag in. Day started with Paul Wright on retrieval practice. A great tip was not to be afraid to repeat content of questions but do vary the style. I'll do this more.
Thank you to everyone who has been kind about my talk @BrewEdCov today, and for everyone who spoke and organised it. Here's the blog post it came from. Why teach?

@BrewEdCov .....for sputniksteve..
People know what they do; frequently they know why they do what they do; but what they don't know is what what they do does.” ...proud to be part of today.
@bennewark holding the room still in the palm of his hand. Pondering why we actually teach! The fruits of thousands of years of thought and toil is the common heritage of all. BrewEdCov #BrewEdcov
