Since 1988, Brewing Services Ltd has offered advice on starting up and expanding breweries, QA & technical support and in-house & residential training courses.
We have a couple of places left on our upcoming course in York.
Covering the whole brewing process from brewery design, raw materials and recipes through to brewing theory, practice & QA - it's the course designed by brewers for brewers. DM for more info or to book a place.
We still have a few spaces left on our upcoming Brewing: The Fundamentals course in York.
Covering the whole brewing process from brewery design, raw materials & recipes through to brewing theory, practice & QA - it's the course designed by brewers for brewers. DM for more info!
For anyone who missed my (brilliantly eloquent and erduite) talk on Brewery QA & QC for @SIBANational yesterday, or for those who found it so riveting they want to watch it again, the link is:

Raw Materials Monday makes way for Technical Tuesday, covering the brewing process from mashing to packaging, along with brewery design and equipment.
We saw the brewing and packaging facilities (cask, keg, bottle and can) at Hambleton Brewery before dinner and a few beers 🍺!
After a deep dive (sorry...!) into the details of brewing liquor, @FaramBen from @CharlesFaram took us on the ever-popular Hop World Tour, the team at Fawcett's took us on a tour of the Maltings and we finished with a tour of the beers on tap at the brilliant @yorkscraftbeers.
Great first day of Brewing: The Fundamentals! Brewers and distillers from across the UK joined us for a brew day at @AinstyAles, then over to @brewyorkbeer for some 'organoleptic testing'. Tough job for the attendees, but someone has to do it! #BTF24
A little behind the scenes this evening.
.
We’re at @Kings_Head this evening, before our @BrewingServices audit tomorrow! Talking “shop” & catching up with news in the brewing world…and enormous thanks to @Kings_Head for opening up just for us….🍻
Invested in an upgrade for one of our ageing ATP meters today! Very excited to take it for a spin.
ATP monitoring is one of the easiest and most cost-effective ways of monitoring brewery hygiene, and this little bit of kit'll see plenty of use in breweries across the UK.
Did some locum brewing & training this week. Nothing makes you appreciate a side manway on a Mash Tun more than digging out a tonne of spent grain from a MT without one...!
With almost 70,000 miles travelled, carrying out more than 200 visits to breweries across 7 countries, it's time for the Brewing Services team to put our feet up for Christmas.
Cheers to everyone we've met in 2023. See you in 2024!
Yesterday saw the first brew at @DropBearBeer's new brewery in Swansea, with your humble Brewing Services team mucking in and ITV there to capture the fun.
Here's to many more. Iechyd da! 🍻
(Don't those @CrispMalt sacks look lovely too!)
With another great Brewing: The Fundamentals course finished (special thanks to @brewyorkbeer!), we're excited to host more intrepid groups of brewers in 2024.
Places are already filling up for the next course (24 - 27 March) - head to https://t.co/crqu4HAbMQ for more info.
"Complete that SIBA survey. You never know, you may win, and if you get the chance to spend your winnings on training then I highly recommend Brewing Services Ltd." - Guest article now live by Hwgga Brew, last year survey prize draw winners.

@WishboneBrewery Presumably it would still give some kind of result but, as any enzyme system will degrade over time, I'm not sure I'd trust the accuracy! Each swab would be slightly different as well, so it's unlikely you'd want to risk verifying only once against an in-date swab either.
