Went to @sdbrewers guild fest, had this beer at @WildBarrelBrew and found it at The butchery in Del Mar. it’s a smooth strawberry sour, almost like a cream ale then hits you with the sour and finishes almost like a Pilsner. Best beer at the guild fest. 9/10. #brewsin140.
A coworker sent me this gem cross country. I’ve been told the lore is like Pliny on the west coast. Amazing beer, heavy melon and peach notes, with a crisp bite from the hops. 9.0/10 #brewsin140@alchemistbeer#headytopper
A staple to the original IPA community, has a fresh piney, lemony citrus bite. I consider this a founder IPA well worth everyone’s try 9/10 @RussianRiverBC
Nose presents a clear cut acidic yeast come to be known by most sours, a crispy bite to the tip of your tongue, and a squeeze to the sides and your cheek. A soft guava/melon finish, and light notes of almost blonde malt. 8/10 #brewsin140@WildBarrelBrew
The best part of San Diego’s brewing scene is to walk into any local liquor store or grocery store and picking up limited releases that are brand new every week. @sdbrewers
I’ve never seen a beer more catered to my style. Strong thicc head, heavy hip and lemon nose, with a fruity and orange rounded body. Not to mention beautiful cans. 9/10. @CouncilBrewing#brewsin140
Not just enjoying it by 10-31, enjoying it now. Another amazing fresh IPA by the legends @StoneBrewing , part of their normal release series Enjoy by. 8/10. #brewsin140
So dry it makes you wanna drink more immediately. Great hop presence and bitterness. One of best parts is this feels like I can drink this in 90 degree heat so easily. 9/10 @ESBCBrews#brewsin140
Another great beer. Thin bubbles, hoppy nose and bitterness but a very front forward yeast and malt. Slightly sweet on the finish. Definitely a great replication of American IPA. 8/10 #brewsin140
Amazing light “Asian pale ale” with lemongrass and orange peel. Not much hops but a good dry body you’d expect from a pale ale. Medium heavy lemongrass flavor but not sweet. Almost a champagne like taste. 8/10 #brewsin140
A powerful punch of hops straight to your nostrils, insanely crisp body with massive hip bitterness. Not dry but not sweet malt. An exceptional example of @StoneBrewing ‘s expertise in the IPA category. 9/10 #brewsin140
An amazing dry, earth piney and lemon rindy IPA from @revbrew . It’s called anti hero. Another gem from the Midwest that makes home seem not far away. 8/10 #brewsin140
Powerful malty body, clean incredibly balanced hops. Piney notes in the nose but not a typical west coast dry IPA, there is definitely sweetness to hide the ABV. @AtGBrewery 8/10 #brewsin140
Every hazy they do is gold, and @ModernTimesBeer doesn’t hold back with this gorgeous can either. Amazing juicy flavor with a burst of hops all over, can’t tell it’s 7.5%. 8/10 #brewsin140
Another amazing hazy DIPA from @ModernTimesBeer. Flavors of mango nectar, apricot and lemon. Crisp hop bite and virtually no bitterness. This one hits you hard at 8.5%. 8/10 #brewsin140
