@Veritatem2021 @Nitromanuk Kiev was the capital and origin of the 'Rus' or Russian peoples. So Ukraine really should be part of Russia. It's complicated but what we now call Ukraine was separated from the Rus at the time of the Mongol invasions.

@LeilaniDowding @Jenny_1884 I don't think painting nails is obligatory. After all, blokes don't do it (mostly). It seems that getting tattoos is almost obligatory these days for both sexes. It used to be only sailors and soldiers who did it.

@Jenny_1884 Well, we did have hair dressers! When I was a young boy I had to go to the hairdresser whilst my mum got her hair permed. Not only was it embarrassing to be the only male in a room full of women and only women's magazines to read, it was also unbelievably boring and I hated it.
