@MikeTappTweets Blimey it's all kicking off over here. Even on the 1 0'clock news. Even saying you will be denied access to sensitive documents and meetings without the approval of the Home Secretary.
@PippaCrerar Rachel Reeves looked real miserable through it all. And those remarks from Kemi Badenoch about not being outside of No. 10 when Kier Starmer made resignation speech but then went to see Andy Burnham. Ouch !!!
@Keir_Starmer@AndyBurnhamGM For goodness sake read the room. They voted for Andy Burnham to get rid of you. Have some dignity in all of this and resign. It is so sad that you are clinging onto power. If you are so sure the country is behind you call a general election and find out.
@BethRigby@LukeTryl So if Starmer wants Burnham back in the cabinet who is he going to sack so he can replace him/her. That is not going to go down well. Or will he have to have a cabinet re-shuffle ?
@Kevin_Maguire If I lived there I wouldn't vote for him (a) I voted for Brexit (b) could he fully represent Makerfield if he is also PM at Westminster (c) Is he only doing this as a route to being PM rather than really caring about Makerfield. What if he loses to Reform ? Lots of ifs & buts.
@JonathanBrash@wesstreeting Did he (a) bottle it (b) didn"t have the numbers - no other minister has yet resigned in support (c) afraid that Angela Rayner may have beaten him in the leadership contest ? And did he resign before he was sacked ?
@Peston Is this a code for (a) I bottled it (b) I don't have the numbers (c) Angela Rayner would have won if there was a contest ? And did he resign before he was sacked.
@SamCoatesSky Did the Health Secretary resign before he was sacked, did he not have the numbers, would Angela Rayner have won if there was a contest. Or did he just bottle it ?
@BethRigby Is that code for (a) after all the briefings he never had the numbers (b) he bottled it or (c) realised that Angela Rayner would have beaten him. And did he resign before he was sacked ?
@KevinASchofield How can he ever be a PM. He will now be known as a bottler. And will the the PM sack him or is he as weak as dishwater too. Looks like the voters are going to have to do the job and get rid of this lousy government.
@BethRigby I have bought a bottle of champagne to celebrate the day this PM is dragged kicking and screaming out of no. 10. I voted for this man but never again. And voted Reform in the local elections this time. Lets hope somebody actually has the bottle to challenge him.
