@SamMonsonNFL@CTM_Show Maybe. By your own admission KS is near the bottom of EPA / WP added from his go / punt / kick decisions (he passed the same timidness to McVay lol)
@StevePalazzolo_ made good point about successful coaches leaving WP on the table.
Love the CTM show; keep up the great work! 👍
@benbbaldwin For those that don’t know - and I think I have the right guy - Brian was the father of Advanced NFL Stats back in the day, and the first person to make win probability available to everyone (before he got bought out 😉)
@SamMonsonNFL That’s fair enough. But I also cringe because Troy Aikman and ‘friend of the show’ Kurt Warner will see that and say “see?!! I told you analytics was bs!!” 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
@SamMonsonNFL It’s always easy being an expert without any accountability. Once it’s your backside on the line, most people don’t look so great. The best way to get better at something, is not to do it, but just to comment from the sidelines.
@benbbaldwin Aikman is such a Neanderthal. In fact, I think given the same access to information and time to process it that Aikman has had, that’s actually doing a disservice to Neanderthals.
@StevePalazzolo_ True, but Ballard was playing with fire paying up for Daniel Jones when we already saw how that worked for the Giants. And 2 1st rounders for a CB? Or indeed anyone? When does that ever work out? Or, how many of those trades fail vs how many succeed?
surely the numbers would have said Jax go for it on 4th and 4 rather than kick the FG?
Even tho Jax made a monster, the ending was so predictable! Playing not to lose rather than playing to win 🤦♂️

I miss your 4th down bot! 😢

@SamMonsonNFL@Lonewolf_Palmer@AndersHirst Sam is half a % a lot for turnover worthy play rate over a career? I don’t have access to the stats so not sure whether it’s a lot or not; as ever, stats require context.
