Alright, first college game experience done. We definitely made some beginner mistakes, like arriving way too late for tailgating (sorry to everyone whose tailgate we didn’t make it to). Staying 50 minutes away from the college town probably wasn’t our best idea either.

Definitely something we need to do better next game. Other than that, it was quite a surreal experience. I don’t really know what I can compare it to. It’s completely different from European sports culture. It’s really just a big party the whole day. In Germany, we don’t have university sports, so seeing how huge it is here is quite hard to comprehend.

Can’t wait for the next game next week already!

Got some much needed sleep and found a pretty cheap hotel for €92 (it was 13 miles outside the city center tbf).

Just did some grocery shopping and are now heading back to the airport because our third person arrives. He had to work yesterday, so he couldn’t make our flight. We came a day earlier so we could sort out the car and everything. We’ll pick him up and then start driving to Iowa!
