Lorenzo Salgado Araujo, 52, was fatally shot by ICE agents yesterday during a traffic stop in Houston, TX. He was a father, husband and business owner who had been in the country for 35 years.
While the full story is still unfolding, we demand a full, transparent, and independent investigation. Our communities deserve to be safe and free from gun violence.
Mitch gotta be thankful Fox end of game play distracting everyone from fact he played Wemby 44mins, Keldon 18mins to Carter’s 5 and watched a 20pt lead evaporate to 4 before calling a timeout. A lot of shit went wrong, but that 2nd half was some of the worst coaching I seen.
Let’s just not forget the (many) people who were saying, back during Victor Wembanyama’s rookie season, that he was overrated, fragile, incapable of winning games, etc., and that Pop didn’t know what he was doing anymore with him and the team. (Ooh I heard that so many times).
Less than three years later, they’re realizing that Pop was, once again, obviously a visionary, and that Wemby has most likely already reached the status of best player in the whole damn world.
Sappy post time:
When we first started this and Wemby met with us, he made it clear to us how much this city means to him.. how much winning means to him. For years we’ve been a bottom of the barrel team and it was clear he was a man on the mission to end that. Our job was simple: bring the energy back to Frost Bank Center and he’d handle the rest… and he’s done just that.
Every game is a sell out crowd that gets to witness history in the making. Am I biased? Absolutely, but I truly believe there has never been a player like Vic.
Every game this Alien has given us his all, but yet, he has still made time to make sure we are enjoying our role within the stadium. He was there at tryouts. He was there at practices. He still gives us his takes on what we could do better. This man has a passion like I’ve never seen before.
This season, even as it stands right now, has been magical. Being able to lead the Jackals has been an experience like nothing I’ve had before. I can only speak for myself but, there’s an eternal piece of gratitude I’ll always have for @wemby . He’s restored a light in this city that has been missing for years. The Spurs are back, Honking is back… SAN ANTONIO IS BACK…. and we aren’t done. Playoffs, here we come.
Peace and Love,

Wemby when asked if he's worried about being dunked on:
"Until [the day] I'm getting dunked on more than I'm blocking shots, I'm going to keep going. But none of us will live to that day."
