🚨 Evangelical and Catholic Christians: this immigration crisis has already reached our churches.🚨
Did you know 1 in 12 Christians in America is either undocumented or has a family member who is?
That is millions of Christians potentially at risk of deportation.
Many have been part of our congregations for decades.
Don’t take my word for it…
See the “One Part of the Body” report from the National Association of Evangelicals and the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops.
Immigration is also a matter of conscience.
While some churches are more affected than others, the Apostle Paul reminds us that the Church is one body:
“If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it.”
(1 Corinthians 12:26)

"A new report from @WorldRelief & @NAEvangelicals projects that 1.3 million U.S. citizen minor children & spouses will face separation from family if the administration continues its mass deportation and visa ban policies. For Christians focused on the family, that’s concerning"
Many Christians still support the current administration because it has claimed to be “pro-life.”
But the truth is, it's not. Abortion rates are rising, and a truly pro-life vision requires us to care about what families actually need to flourish: access to healthcare, affordable housing, economic stability, and basic human dignity.
On all of these fronts, the current administration continues to fail - and Christians who care about life should be willing to say so.

“Toxic empathy” rhetoric has filtered into much of the American evangelical church over the past few years.
As a result, many Christians now feel permitted - even encouraged - to look the other way as our government enacts human rights abuses against our neighbors.
If the only people who deserve empathy are those who match our political priorities, it’s time to ask whether we may be more loyal to a party than to Christ.

If these are the stories we're getting now, just wait until after this miserable administration ends, and we start to get the full picture. We should be ashamed now. Our shame will only grow. Future generations will ask how we let this happen.
Watching American Christians claim they care about the persecuted Church while hearing them vehemently refute and outright dismiss the painful stories of Christians (and their young children) being unjustly detained and oppressed here in the U.S. is absolutely wiiiiiild.

Immigration is one of today’s most polarizing issues. But beneath the headlines, much of the public discourse is shaped less by facts and principles and more by fear, misinformation and emotional manipulation. So how should Christians — whether natives or newcomers — engage with our immigrant neighbors?

@DerwinLGray Love seeing this!
With 40B now being spent on the building of immigrant detention facilities, where immigrants will be detained indefinitely (currently 93% w/out a criminal conviction). Would love to talk about how we might minister to the forgotten in these facilities too.
@MoreBirths@elonmusk If we truly want more growing American families you have to eliminate the obstacles to having a growing American family.
Medals and $5k is insulting.
