What a game between Baylor and Auburn and what a incredible play by Eric Winters at the end! Baylor just lost to Auburn in pretty much the same way they beat Oklahoma State to win the Big 12 title in 2021. Heartbreaking for Lagway and Baylor in Week 1.

Congrats to Paseo Verde Little League for winning the US Championship! They earned it but in my opinion they’re one of the weakest US champions we’ve had in a while if not the weakest I can remember. Still they got the job done when it mattered. A title is a title

That 26' Bama team not only just contended for a trip to Williamsport - they made it and finished 4th in the entire US. Congrats to Phenix City on an incredible season that deserves to be celebrated. What a run.

@mikejohnson_2 What a game! Great fight by a very gritty Wisconsin team that almost won, but honestly, it would have been a shame if Iowa lost and we didn’t get to see them in Williamsport. Iowa vs West Champ will likely be the best opening game of the LLWS.

@JoeBobhvz1 Eastbank was my #1 in the nation and having to beat AP and then Lafayette twice in the same day will be brutal but definitely doable as Lafayette burned their ace today and I don't know about their other arms.

NEVADA LL UPDATE:

Major upset last night as Summerlin South, who are the reigning US champ lost their district championship 2-0 to Spring Valley!
Tourney was modified double elim and after losing 4-0 to Summerlin earlier, Spring Valley came back in the title game and won

@mikejohnson_2 INSANE upset, with FL and LA out (screwed by the modifed double elim) and Cali using their ace last night, Hawaii shaping up to be the favorite in Williamsport again. But with the loser bracket teams being 3/3 so far who knows what can happen?

@mikejohnson_2 Yeah couldn't believe what I was seeing live, single after single with 2 outs in the 9th. There was a very close bang-bang play at 3rd, called safe with 2 outs, which kept the game going. The next two batters singled, and then they walked it off. Still don't know how DC lost

@mikejohnson_2 DC looked decent for 5 2/3 innings but unreal choke today. 7 runs with 2 outs. Unfathomable. PA's region to lose and it looks pretty hard to see any other team beating them
