@PeteNakos@Brett_McMurphy@On3 Sorsby’s lawyers are going to milk him for whatever he has left of the NIL money by taking him down a path he cannot win. Sad.
Would any NFL team take the risk? Maybe the road to redemption through the CFL or UFL? Even then, the risk may not be worth the reward. Hopefully, he saved his money and can find something else to do. He's always going to have this shadow over him in sports, as a player or coach.
Supporting Sorsby's recovery is one thing. Texas Tech fighting to let him play after betting on his own team is another. Universities should value integrity over wins. This lacks judgment and flies in the face of what a university should stand for. Makes you wonder what other poor decisions these guys are hiding.
I could see Tech getting kicked out of the Big 12. Who will take them? Mountain West? Pac-12? the MAC? or I guess they could go independent, but probably nobody worthwhile would schedule them given the lack of integrity here. Makes you wonder where else they lack integrity that hasn't come out yet.
Anything to declare?
Did you know? The 1969 crew of Apollo 11 - the first to land on the moon - had to complete an official U.S. customs declaration form upon their return. Lunar rock samples and dust were listed as being brought into the country from the moon.
@william_R2Rclub@WSJ The return on assets must be 2% or 3% IF you own the land outright. You'd need 1000+ acres in Iowa to make the equivalent of working 40hrs a week in Retail. It's crazy. Terrible return on capital... but the asset does appreciate. It's all about scale sadly.
@CFBHome@grok I was hoping grok would share the answer it gave me privately. 2nd from last in university rankings for academics and the *only* for-profit school in D1 athletics. MWC shoulda merged with Pac12… almost as irrelevant as the WAC or whatever they’re called now.
