Same thing I said about #Bitcoin in 2015 during a two year long bear market with lots on infighting. "Let the Speculators Speculate". This is still the early days of a multi-decade story that will rival the rise of the internet itself.
@texasrunnerDFW Work in digital marketing. Don’t have enough words to describe it all. But AI has basically replaced the need for graphic designers, website techs for maintenance, web devs and content writers. A novice with basic coding skills can basically do the work of 10 people.
@texasrunnerDFW More than tech layoffs. I live in McKinney on the Frisco border. RTO is a big deal. Commuting to Irving or Downtown Dallas from there is a nightmare. I couldn’t imagine being North of 380.
@texasrunnerDFW@business You live in a delusional world where you constantly assume everyone in DFW lives in 3-4k SQFT homes. My neighborhood on the Frisco border near the Temple. Hardly any Indian families, my realtor who is Indian said the 3bd 2bath sub 2k SQFT houses are too small.
@theficouple Same situation but without the large price appreciation. Would love to move closer to family across the country. But buying something even the same price and resetting my interest rate basically doubles the housing costs.
@JeffMeeksq5@texasrunnerDFW I’ve lived both places. Unless you’ve owned a home forever in Cali with Prop 13 no way you’re coming out ahead. Most the people bitching about Texas own hudge homes. Not uncommon to see neighborhoods of nothing but 3-4k SQFT homes. That was a rarity in California.
@texasrunnerDFW A $1M home in Frisco is probably about 4K square feet. Likely 2 water heaters and multiple AC units. Not mention a very slanted roof that probably costs 20-30k to replace. Nobody has to sign up for this. It’s a choice. There are houses sub $400K in Frisco ISD.
