When are tech folk going to get that people like wasting time, it's life. They don't optimize for efficiency, they try to get by, they watch dumb stuff, they enjoy shopping. Inefficiency is another work for living and life.

Your m mean and median job isn't a software engineer in Menlo Park, it's Ashley in accounts in a not for profit in Columbus, it's Jesse , the office manager for a tool rental business in Tallahassee, they are more likely to use a Fax machine than Slack.

They quite like meetings because they like chatting, they'll use AI to make a better invite to their baby shower, not agentify their job.

These people, nor their bosses boss, aren't in a rush to build software as a side hustle, they are keen to use AI to check if their vet is overcharging them. They'd like AI to check spelling on the email to the school governor.

They don't want agentic commerce, they want AI to be in the background and make living a little less stressful

Major milestone for air taxis in the US 🇺🇸

Today the @USDOT and @FAANews selected our partners in Texas, New York, and Florida for the White House’s eVTOL Integration Pilot Program (eIPP). Like recent robotaxi pilot initiatives, this program creates a first-of-its-kind pathway to help bring the first new category of aircraft in nearly 80 years to market.

We will now work directly with partners in Texas, New York, and Florida to begin laying the groundwork for early Midnight operations in those states later this year.

We're teaming up with @anduriltech for an exclusive, strategic partnership to build the future of military aircraft.

Our initial project together is a jointly developed hybrid-propulsion, vertical-lift aircraft for critical defense applications, with engineering efforts already underway. To accomplish this, we’re pairing our ability to rapidly develop advanced VTOL aircraft with Anduril's deep expertise in artificial intelligence, missionization and systems integration.

To support this, we also announced that we’ve raised an additional $430M in equity capital bringing our liquidity to ~$1B. This gives us one of the strongest balance sheets in the sector.
