@catbee32 I said he was determined which he was. Dedication isn’t predicated on whether what an individual does is morally right or wrong. No doubt he was a horrible person. It was his sheer determination to be the best ping pong player that drove the plot and I found it entertaining.
Marty Supreme (2025) was a wild ride from start to finish. Whether you root for Marty or not you cannot deny that his determination to achieve his aims are beyond belief and his unwavering commitment to survival is what drives its narrative in the most surprising fashion. 9/10
Overall the movie was a great improvement and including more legacy characters and having a tournament fared much better in the end. The acting is on par with quality a B-movie action flick but since it’s Mortal Kombat you can give it a pass. Rating - 7.5/10 MKII WINS! 8/8
(Thread) Mortal Kombat II (2026) was an improvement over the last movie with more fighting and a tournament setting that is sure to please the veteran fans of the franchise. With its positives aside there are still some flaws that keep it from the flawless status it aims for 1/8
Sonya Blade is in this again and her fight sequence with Sindel was really fun to watch but in the end kind of short lived if you ask me especially when you compare it to her previous fights with Mileena in the last film 7/8
@DailyLoud Somebody asked him to turn down his speaker and his response is to threaten violence use homophobic slurs and then direct his aggression at a female? This is why straight jackets exist. He will eventually kill somebody for who knows what. Look at what happened to Iryna Zarutska.
@4ngelies@PopBase How was it not integral to the plot? It’s literally where the penultimate climax occurs with killers revealing themselves and it was a collection of the previous killer’s collection of Ghostface memorabilia. Plus Skeet Ulrich is in this film and is Sam’s father.
@praisethel0rd25@TMZ The point of my post was to give a whimsical opinion on an individual’s unprofessional conduct regardless of the claims they make. Just because you agree with somebody on an issue does not give them a hall pass to act disparagingly. It has nothing to do with her opinion on Gaza.
@FilmUpdates So you’re going on a tirade about Paramount for firing you and saying they’re lying about their recent financial success. Then you’re torching your fellow cast members from the franchise that made you prominent in the mainstream and your plan is to start your own company?
