George Marshall 6’5 2027 Trey Lonardo is a highly skilled and versatile wing who can beat you from all three levels in a variety of ways. He’s a lethal catch and shoot threat from beyond the arc, one of the better three point shooters in the state! Trey’s shot mechanics are clean, fluid and consistent. Trey is also adept at creating his own shot in space attacking closeouts effectively and getting to his dribble pull-up or using his long strides and attacking the basket with a vengeance! He is an explosive leaper also serving as a lob target. Trey is masterful working from the high post or extended short corner with his ability to face up and hit the jumper, handle and score in traffic or back his man down and score over either shoulder with his magnificent touch and back to the basket variety. From the post he uses drop steps and pivots, shot fakes to get defenders in the air or out of position before countering with another move to score. Highly skilled and manipulative offensive force. Manipulative in that he knows how to set defenders up and create an advantage both using jabs and shot fakes, pivots and the like. Crafty footwork in traffic to get to his floater and score inside. He uses screens effectively, sound footwork off the screen into the jumper. Trey can rebound and lead the break and is outstanding in transition both as a passer and attacking the basket. Trey earned All State and All Region honors last year and was the Liberty District Player of the Year! #BigShots #VHSLLive @BigShotsToday@BigShotsGlobal
I canceled my @washingtonpost subscription a few months back due to “philosophical differences,” but this is a dagger. Growing up as a DC sports fan and enjoying 50+ years of outstanding sports journalism was a daily staple. Shame on Bezos. Hopefully, someone will fill the void.

I just believe in keeping people fresh and healthy. The better people feel physically, the better they'll be mentally too."
Most HS athletes won’t play beyond HS. That’s why programs should be built for all kids, not just the few who’ll move on. The lessons, memories & growth should belong to everyone who wears the jersey. Build environments where all feel valued—HS sports should be about HS athletes!
Love this reflection from JJ. Meet people where they are. We are all wired differently. We all are on different journeys. That’s ok. It doesn’t mean changing standards or expectations.
JJ Redick:
“I spent a lot of time after the season with my performance coach and did a lot of self reflection. I think the biggest thing for me is just having the ability to properly turn it on and off. And recognizing not everybody is wired like Kobe. You got to kind of meet guys where they are.”
