Since signing Edwin Encarnacion to a 3 year, 60-million dollar deal in 2017, the Guardians have spent a total of $65,500,000 on major league free agents and more than half of that was for Josh Bell.

The only other major league free agents they have signed in the last 7 years are Yonder Alonso, Oliver Perez, Cesar Hernandez, Bryan Shaw and Mike Zunino.

They have been cheap and bad when it comes to free agency.
