🇩🇰 It is 2024 and the Danish law now (from July) gives men and their children the same rights as women to get protection and aid when exposed to #domesticviolence.

@20_odysseus Men will get easier access to psychological help (currently guaranteed for women, but not men). There will also be an obligation from municipalities to ensure men get help when needed and for their children, and it will be possible to be anonymous (like for women now).

@TobiasPetersen_ Det er helt legitimt at sætte forsøg op der forsøger besvare dette. Lav nogle videooptagelser af mænd og kvinder der sender hvad de selv mener er fliterende blikke af mere eller mindre åbenlys natur, og bed folk om at give en score på hvor uønsket det ville være rettet mod dem.

I just saw the documentary Johatsu about the wish and need to dissapear in Japan and the industry that helps. I did not expect #DomesticViolence to be such a big part in the documentary for why people dissapear.

During one year in UK & Wales there were 93 suspected victim #suicides following #DomesticAbuse versus 80 #IntimatePartnerHomicides (IPH).

It will be interesting how the view on #IPV changes if/when suicide is included in the definition of IPH.

For at få bedre viden om hvad der faktisk sker er vi nødt til at estimere både partnerdrabsforsøg og partnerdrab. Der er også problemtik med definitionen da psykisk vold kan presse en partner/ekspartner til selvmord.
