@elonmusk Haha this is literally me this morning! Out of tokens in Claude pro so guess I'll try using Build with my SuperGrok subscription. I hope it does better than Grok has in the past with stuff like that. I love Grok but coding was not one of it's strong points.
Had this happen to me in an Audi S5. It was a manual but because it was I always used the parking brake. It's electronic though so just a switch. Midway through getting my hair cut it rolled through a gas station nearby, then crossed over a busy road, somehow without hitting anything, and got tangled up in a barb wire fence.
@EliteDangerous Very nice of Frontier to release a new ship for credits immediately! After seeing some of the release-today-fix-next-year stuff coming out these days, I'd much rather wait longer to get a more polished release.
@ATXChappy@igor_os777 I'm curious how you wrote to a tape using mt. I've never known it to have that ability, at least not in Solaris. I guess you could position the tape using mt, then write a tar file directly to the tape device using cat or something.
@elonmusk Grok has been amazing! Lots of timeout issues and errors lately but has helped me this week in 2 major IT projects (iscsi, VMs, LTO tape drive) by giving me config info, shell scripts, etc. Also made me make stuff in openscad to 3D print and helped me with my shoulder pain.
I mean yes, I started with the original ibm pc with a cassette port, and even computers older that were not x86. I remember finally getting an adlib, sound blaster, ega, vga, etc. But back then you swapped out a crystal to overclock a system. Now there's a hundred settings in the BIOS. I wouldn't say it's more "convenient" now, in fact there's 100x more things to play with. Still just as happy upgrading stuff today as back then and tinkering as well. Hard to believe how far we've came. Old cga 4 color graphics to my crystal super vr headset and a 5090 today is a big change!
@Sentient_Atoms@ardacebie@elonmusk@LiveSquawk You act like you're the fucking Tesla executive who makes these decisions. How the fuck do you know what they're thinking? How do you even know HW4 will handle FSD everywhere? I bet your attitude will change dramatically when your 2 year old car is obsolete.
@EliteDangerous Some awesome screenshots! Doing DW3 I've captured some I think would be worthy but doing a screenshot in VR doesn't look so good. βΉοΈ
@CMDR_FOSDYKE Assuming they ever do implement this, I hope it'll be in VR instead of getting a flat screen when I leave the cockpit, like when on foot.
@CMDR_FOSDYKE@EliteDangerous I wouldn't have bothered taking a ship to DW3 if this was available! Love the overhead windows to take in the sights while kicking back.
