@malmcmullan Whereas Castledawson minors are expected to play a Senior championship at 1pm on Sunday and Minor Final at 6pm. Great fixture planning there
@mwoodgates@BustedBicycleDL are picked to form a county panel. They then compete against each other, firstly to win their province and then after that to win the All Ireland which is what you watched yesterday. You could pick holes in that but that’s roughly it
@mwoodgates@BustedBicycleDL 32 counties in Ireland which are in 4 provinces (Ulster, Munster, Connaught and Leinster). Each province has a championship in football and Munster & Leinster has a championship in hurling.
Each county will have 40+ clubs in their county and the best players from all those clubs
@BustedBicycleDL@mwoodgates For a final almost impossible but a good chance for a semi final. A quarter final or Leinster final would be a certainty for a ticket
🕊️ Remembering All-Ireland winner and former Derry Senior Hurling manager, Colm McGurk, who sadly passed away on this day in 2022.

@TSnooker102 A replay wouldn’t have helped. The sound was different hence the call, he wouldn’t have changed his mind watching a video. No big deal, happens once in a thousand frames. VAR has made some bad calls in football and only helped to slow it down and ruin it. Snooker doesn’t need it
@malmcmullan Straight knockout may I add is better but groups are inevitable with county players away otherwise they could play 1 game a year with the club. At least groups of 4 make it relatively competitive from the word go
@malmcmullan 16 teams in senior(4 groups of 4, home, away and neutral). Smaller clubs could end up folding with stronger teams moving into intermediate and junior, already some huge winning margins in junior without more intermediate teams joining them
