I’m happy he didn’t join the big boys, he joined the worst team, made them attractive and pushed them upwards.

It didn’t stop there, many of these players are now being called to their national teams.

Added more glamour to the league. Selling out every game, home and away.

After he joined the worst team in the league, less than a year, they won the US open cup, the next season they won the Supporter’s Shield, and now the MLS CUP.

He picked the team from nothing and put them on the map.

Messi being the most decorated player in football history is definitely not a fluke. He’s a born winner.
