The girl in blue is the true epitome of what a Queen truly is!
She was crowned Homecoming Queen By her Senior class....
…but took the crown off her head and placed it on the girl in pink (escorted by her father). She had lost her mother to cancer the morning of Homecoming.
Senior Nyla Covington at Forrest County Agricultural High School showed marvelous grace, humbleness, friendship, beauty and love!!!
“All I could think about was my mom and how she wanted to be here, and then the next thing I know, Nyla walked towards me, and she hugged me,” Brittany Walters said. “Then she started to take off her crown.”
Way to go Nyla!
We could all take a lesson in “Loving Thy Neighbor” through you.

Yesterday I finished up an incredible 7 year run with Callaway and Odyssey.
I am so proud of what we were able to accomplish and will watch with great pride to see what the talented people at Callaway and Odyssey will do in the future.
Do you want to get better at golf?
I am guessing you said yes. Everyone does. Even when Tiger was at the very top, he wanted to improve.
How do you get there?
The data in the table below is the average number of birdies, bogeys and doubles (or worse) per round.
It is broken down by handicap index.
These differences give you the blueprint to what better golf looks like. More birdies is not the key!
STOP focusing on birdies!
START focusing on reducing bogeys, and ESPECIALLY reducing doubles or worse!
The typical 15 index averages:
- 1.7 fewer birdies per round than a scratch
That same 15 index averages:
- 4.0 more bogeys than a scratch
- 3.8 more doubles (or worse) than a scratch
Turning a few doubles into bogeys and a few bogeys into pars is the key to lower scores.

If you want to stop pulling down on the handle in transition, this is one of the best DRILLS to do it.
Stick under trail armpit. Take 3/4 swing and it’ll rest on lead arm. Retain connection in transition as you turn the chest. It’ll move the hands outward to avoid getting stuck!
If you want to consistently break 80, your driver "accuracy" needs to be dialed in.
The latest podcast episode in our "Consistently Shoot in the 70s" series tackles your driver.
