@JonWaldron1 Just googled and it suggests Cowling is owed £41 million on paper and charges interest between 7.25% and 8.25% on money owed if true. Sure he will want to get his money back if Google is correct but the interest rates seem generous to him if true.

@Nigel_Farage Also, for the over 75's, someone reneged on the deal for free licences, either the government of the time or the BBC. I would rather the indigenous population of this country get something back from the taxes they have paid instead of rewarding people who have not.

@piersmorgan Labour got 33.7% of the vote at the election and probably less than half of those would vote for them now. So when they come out with the phrase "we have a mandate", I would disagree as probably about 15% of the country still agree with their policies.
