Carlton Fisk's walk-off home run in Game 6 of the 1975 World Series

The Red Sox catcher bangs one off the pole in left in the bottom of the 12th inning to force a Game 7 against the Reds.

The iso shot of Fisk waving it fair — taken from inside Fenway's Green Monster scoreboard — is one of television sports' most iconic images.

@GreenGold4Ever The more standalone games that get packed into the schedule, the more duds you get. Parity, longer seasons and expanded playoffs has also diluted the product.

🌴Tropical Shootout🌴

The Dolphins and Buccaneers in a "Battle of Florida" thriller at the Orange Bowl

Miami forges a 31-14 early second-half lead, but the Bucs heat up and roar back to tie the game at 38 with :43 remaining.

Fuad Reveiz wins it for the Dolphins with :06 left, 41-38.

Dan Marino throws three touchdowns for Miami, while Tampa Bay tight end Jimmie Giles is completely unstoppable — catching four touchdown passes from Steve DeBerg in the furious comeback attempt.

Tony Pena and John Hudek pulled off a great piece of deception on September 5, 1997. Pena set up like Houston was intentionally walking Brian Johnson, then reached back toward the plate for Hudek's pitch and stole a called third strike.

Johnson was expecting a free pass and suddenly the at-bat was over. Baseball strategy doesn't always need a complicated sign. Sometimes it just needs the hitter to believe the wrong thing for one second.

Today in 1996, a frustrated Jim Mora faces the media and gives his iconic “diddly poo” speech. Perhaps the GOAT of all quotably pissed off head coaches.

[Baseball’s Greatest Moments @BBGreatMoments]

Bob Feller's fastball was measured at 98.6 mph in 1946 using a U.S. Army device designed to measure artillery shells.

There was no stadium radar gun and obviously no Statcast. The Army literally brought its equipment to Griffith Stadium to figure out how hard Feller was throwing.

Nearly 100 mph with 1940s measuring technology helps explain why hitters talked about his fastball like it was something from another category.
