@F1Media@jackwhitehall "As Formula 1 continues to expand its footprint at the intersection of sport, entertainment, and lifestyle... his involvement will help strengthen the connection between motorsport and mainstream culture."
🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮 Nothing against JW here but F1 is being ripped to shreds.
@HutchTweeting@Geordie_JasonV Agree with that. Rooney gets some extra flak for Scouse accent. Out that aside. I think he's getting better at presenting the real footballing technicalities.
@ScepticalMel@AWills1995 You don't need to hurl bins, chant obscenities, chase officers and rush them to get the point across.
If anything it undermines it. The attention on the terrible circumstances was there. Now it takes a turn away.
Politically, any thoughts for a snap election may also reduce.
@ESpeaksFreely Be fair. Some of the people there are only there to cause trouble. Others are just there to be there with their cameras for likes and shares to capture the proactive action, tension and reaction.
Those actions completely undermine the issue at hand.
@doveyymargeauxx It's moronic. It also green lights other groups to do the same, which will just add more fuel.
I'm not trying to be funny, but if England have a bad World Cup it could get really ugly.
@ShabanaMahmood What immediately preceded the events in Southport and Southampton? Manchester Airport. It ramped the temp up and the shocking events in both places lit the fuse.
Unfortunately those out to cause trouble completely undermine the issue at hand, which at its core is fairness.
@FinbarSneddon@RobertJenrick It was just another drunk guy causing trouble wasting police time, to take in who will be sick in a cell and sleep it off
Except it wasn't.
It was a youthful man, lying there, fighting for his life trying to get help utterly let down in his final moments. It's desperately sad.
@RobertJenrick The guy with the body cam assumed Henry was drunk and treated him as such. The female officer does seem to question this, or at least recognise the claim of being stabbed needs to be checked and starts to identify something is wrong before video ends.
So awfully wrong. Terrible.
