✅ @DealStreetAsia recently featured an interview where I shared my thoughts on Vietnam’s move to regulate digital asset trading.

With Resolution 05/2025 in place, domestic trading must go through licensed exchanges - bringing transparency, investor protection, and stronger oversight. Major financial institutions like SSI, Techcom, VPBank, and MB are stepping in, proving that only those with real capital, governance, and technology will stay in the game.

This will shift fund flows from “grey” to “white”, opening the door for institutional capital and creating a more disciplined market.

At the same time, without controlled flexibility such as allowing stablecoins alongside VND like in Korea, Vietnam risks being out of sync with the global market, where stablecoins account for over 70% of all transactions.

I believe the future lies in combining the prudence of financial institutions with the innovation of builders, so Vietnam can develop a digital asset market that is both safe and globally aligned.

SSI invested in U2U Network, signed MOUs with three global players - AWS, Tether, and VanEck, all to develop the Vietnam domestic market.

In her interview with VietTimes, U2U Network’s CEO emphasized that this is not a “temporary wave” but a cycle of legitimization. Under Resolution 05, the game will be led by major financial and technology institutions, where only those with real capital, infrastructure, and risk management can remain.

Vietnam has already surpassed $200 billion in digital asset transactions last year (Chainalysis 2025), ranking among the top 3 countries globally in investment profits. Such a massive flow of capital must move into transparent and compliant systems – and this is where U2U, together with global partners, plays a pivotal role in shaping new standards for the market.

In the race to scale Ethereum, we’ve created dozens of Layer-2s, appchains, and rollups. But sometimes I wonder: "Are we solving scalability, or just creating new silos?"
