It is still a net tax benefit but you’re forgetting about the tax implications when you sell in a few years that materially reduces the benefit.

When you sell the vehicle later, requires depreciation recapture. Any gain up to the total amount you previously deducted is taxed as ordinary income at your ordinary tax bracket in the year of sale.
