I wanted to give it a couple days but Tuesday’s results clearly reflect real urgency around affordability - and that urgency deserves a real answer, not just a political one.
The Partnership for New York City is nonpartisan - we don’t back candidates - but we have a clear point of view on what actually solves affordability: more and better jobs, not fewer. In the last 90 days we’ve watched company after company announce expansions elsewhere. Every departure makes housing, groceries, and opportunity harder for the New Yorkers who remain. That will continue if we don’t focus on a real jobs/economic agenda instead of political soundbites
Most people don’t want a handout - they want an opportunity. I’ve believed that my entire career and nothing about Tuesday changed it. Since Tuesday, conversations across the business community have taken on a new urgency - because the path we’re on won’t solve affordability, it will deepen it. We’re committed to being part of the course correction at a different level than ever before.
220M+ fully autonomous miles driven, and Waymo's safety performance remains remarkably consistent.
Even as we scaled into increasingly complex environments like airports and new cities, the safety benefits kept compounding.

From @TheAthletic: "What could have been the best night in a New York Knicks fan’s life instead felt like a massive middle finger," our columnist writes. "James Dolan saw this night, this big New York moment, and strangled the fun out of it." https://t.co/nX1LYIEyf8
Overheard on the streets of NYC: “The problem with last night: it was supposed to be a Knicks game. But it turned into the Met Gala. All of these rich people poured in -- paying $10K to $150K a ticket. And then they sat there with their pinkies sticking out while the refs were committing FELONIES against our team! We were in foul trouble TWO MINUTES into the fourth quarter??? GET OUTTA HERE!! The refs must have been bought and paid for by the league! They want to keep the series going so they can keep making money. BUT THE FANS SHOULD HAVE BEEN TEARING THE PLACE APART WITH EVERY BAD CALL!! SCARE the refs!! Make em fear for their LIVES!! THIS IS NEW YORK FREAKING CITY GODDAMMIT !!!!”

Introducing Artemis III.
Four astronauts. Three launches. Two dockings. One splashdown.
In 2027, the Artemis III mission will practice docking the Orion spacecraft with two lunar landers in low Earth orbit — the capability we need to return humanity to the Moon’s surface.

I want to thank Senator John Cornyn for his years representing our state.
We don’t agree on everything, but we both still believe in public service.
To Senator Cornyn’s supporters: you have a place in our campaign.
