🚨UPDATE ON MR. BRITTON AND HIS THREE SONS
After sharing the story of Mr. Delroy Britton and his three autistic sons, I have received additional information about the situation and want to clarify something important for everyone who has expressed concern and wants to help this family.
A multi-agency team is now actively working with the family to assess their needs and coordinate assistance. The team includes the Social Development Commission, the Jamaica Constabulary Force, the Ministry of Labour and Social Security, the Ministry of Health, the children’s school, the Jamaica Council for Persons with Disabilities and other stakeholders.
The approach is not simply to provide cash, but to identify the family's specific needs and address them directly.
Some immediate needs have already been identified and addressed, including water and improved sanitation, while other needs are being assessed. There are also longer-term considerations involving the children’s education, medical care, household conditions and social support.
This is important because there are posts circulating online encouraging people to send money directly to the family.
Please verify before sending any funds.
If you genuinely want to help Mr. Britton and his three sons, the best approach is to connect with the agencies and persons coordinating the intervention so that assistance can be directed toward an actual, verified need.
The objective should not simply be to give. It should be to give where it will have the greatest practical impact.
Mr. Britton and his sons have already captured the hearts of many Jamaicans. Let us continue to show compassion, but let us also make sure that our compassion is organised, responsible and effective.
If you have the ability to help with a verified need, please step forward. I have direct contact for the person from SDC
And if you cannot assist directly, share this update so that those who can help know that there is already a coordinated effort underway.
🇯🇲 Let us help this family with dignity.
However, her family still needs three million Jamaican dollars to cover travel, accommodation and other expenses for the six-week medical trip.

🚨Jamaica, we cannot read this story and simply scroll past.
Delroy Britton is a father of three sons, all autistic. He walks them for about an hour to school in Mandeville because he is determined to give them an education and a chance at a better life.
But at home, his family is living without basic necessities. No electricity. No reliable potable water. A damaged roof. No fridge or proper cooking facilities. His sons sometimes have to depend on others just to charge their tablets.
He is currently out of work and still refuses to give up on his boys.
He wants to build a better life through livestock farming, but right now, this family needs help.
If you can assist with repairs, water, electricity, appliances, food, transportation, employment, livestock-farming support or financial assistance, please step forward.
And if you cannot give, share this post. Someone in your network may be able to change this family's circumstances.
Let us turn compassion into action.
Three boys deserve a safe home.
A father deserves a chance to provide.
And sometimes, all it takes is one person deciding to help.
🇯🇲 Please share widely.

There is a price for going deeper with God. You will have to give up your will, comfort, time, and sometimes the things you love most. You cannot hold on to everything and still go further with Him. More of God requires more surrender.
“I want my baby to live.” Those were the desperate words of first-time mother Vachel Harwood, who, just a week after welcoming her newborn son, Kyrique Buchanan, is now racing against time to raise funds for emergency heart surgery.

Go to church bruv. Dont fall for that propaganda of I pray alone. “When two or more are gathered in my presence, there I am in their midst”. Praying alone is good. But you need fellowship. You need the encouragement of other believers.
I’m mentoring a 20 yr-old in Jamaica who could use support in his job search. It’s been so grueling. He’s now on the verge of homelessness. He lost his last job after the company closed. He has experience in customer service, sales, personal assistance. I could really use help 🙏
