Christian music review blog (eventually), focusing on Contemporary Christian Music from 1970 to the present (mainly the bands/albums/songs I'm familiar with).
Dear little Christian indie band/artist who's worked so hard for so long to make quality music for Christ,
Please, don't escape to Nashville, LA or some other big city. Your hometown needs you & loves you.

@SanctusReal I had been listening through all of my favorite Sanctus Real songs when you posted this! I saw I remembered more songs on Say It Loud than I expected, and I'm thinking of listening again in full sometime soon. (My top 3 are still the title track, Hey Wait, and The Way I Feel.)
Five things every Christian should have:
1. A Bible that they actually read
2. A church where they are active
3. A heart that is quick to repent
4. A desire to tell others about Jesus
5. A life of frequent prayer
As someone who relates to one of the workers being called late in the day (in the parable of the workers in the vineyard), it's a combination of extreme gratitude and extreme remorse for the way I lived decades of my life. While the parable is from the perspective of the "co-workers" who feel like they got the short end of the stick, the benefits of reaping what you've been sowing cannot be understated. Being called late in the day is a very tough pill to swallow. Consider yourselves very blessed if you were called early in the day and didn't have to learn everything the hard way. 🙏
As pointed out by @johnnydividas
"It's important to note that Wes Campbell owns the brand name Newsboys. The musicians who are/were employed by him aren't necessarily involved in this."

@PrefersAnon316@Ineverglow I know in my case that I saw the poll but want to relisten to both albums first (though I would guess most of the extra views are from it loading on pages for people who it counts as a view for but who don't end up actually voting for it).

@Nichola31513783@golfnpreacher@MikeWingerii I think David would agree with me that even if someone hates the idea of earning money as a result of making this type of video, this type of video may cause its creator to receive more money than the otherwise would, and then it's a matter of what they do with that money.
@Nichola31513783@golfnpreacher@MikeWingerii In Mike's case, the videos about cover-up culture would get more attention from some people and less attention from other people, and would cause some people to reject him, attack him, or stop donating to him, and cause other people to like him or donate to him even more.
@Nichola31513783@golfnpreacher@MikeWingerii He isn't saying Mike is motivated by money, or that Mike shouldn't make the videos, he is only saying that Mike not monetizing the videos doesn't mean the videos can't cause him to get more money. If someone wanted money, they could make unmonetized videos but get more donations.
I don’t know if the low number of votes is due to people not being familiar with the albums or if X is burying my posts or what…but it’s a little disheartening, to be honest. But thank you so much to those of you who have been voting and sharing. It really means a lot and it would still be worth it just for the hundred or so of you who are into it.
