"You've never heard it till you've heard Eddie Vedder sing it."
Such respectful lines by Tom Petty, then he invites Eddie Vedder to stage.
There you have a beautiful performance of a song called 'The Waiting' live in 2006.
Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers and Eddie Vedder, the frontman of Pearl Jam, performing a great rendition of The Waiting.
This is what the internet was invented for.
Imagine how lucky a local kid feels being invited to sit in with a band like this? Thanks to Brian Maes and his band for this bucket list opportunity and to Arlyne Black Campbell for the video capture. #Grateful

Aretha Franklin’s performance at the 2008 Kennedy Center Honors is one of the most iconic moments in the event’s history.
She sang ”(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman” as a tribute to honoree Carole King, who co-wrote the song. Aretha came out in a floor-length fur coat, sat at the piano, and brought the entire audience to their feet.
What made it so legendary was the raw soul and power she brought to the stage. When she hit the high notes near the end, Carole King looked completely overwhelmed with joy and emotion. Obama wiped away a tear. The whole room was electrified.
