🎉This #ThankfulThursday we celebrate a special day: it's our 85th Birthday today! On July 1, 1936, Edith Cleaves Barry, local artist and independent world-traveler opened the Museum on the second floor of the old brick general store building at the center of town.
❤️To Our Guests:
As national guidance evolves, we have decided that because we welcome visitors of all ages, we request that masks continue to be worn inside the Museum for the protection of our children and unvaccinated community members.
Thank you for your understanding.
Southern Maine Health Care recently pledged support to the Museum's expanding programming on mental health using primary resources. The Museum's pilot discussion program has inspired a unique series on this topic. New programs coming soon!
