Don't let people on here tell you that Trump being removed from the ballot helps Trump or is a waste of time.

Here's the truth about Trump’s disqualification:

• Turnout

Every state where Trump is successfully removed from the ballot, even if it's in blue states, hurts Republicans down ballot. If MAGA can't cast a vote for Trump, they won't turn out and vote for Senators, House Reps, governors, state legislatures, secretaries of state, etc.

This has the potential to flip the House for Democrats and potentially save the Senate majority. Cut to Susan Collins losing her mind over Trump being disqualified in Maine, and Boebert moving to a new district in Colorado even though Trump won her current district by 8 points.

• Draining Trump’s resources

Trump has a finite amount of money with which to run his businesses, run his presidential campaign, and fight his legal battles.

He's about to get hammered in the NY fraud trial to the tune of what is likely hundreds of millions of dollars. He's also raised a billion dollars between his campaign and his PACs since he lost in 2020, a totally unsustainable number considering most of that money is gone and he still needs to run a Presidential campaign.

Trump's legal fees, by the time he's done with multiple civil suits and what's currently 4 criminal trials, likely with more to come, could easily total $150M if not more, especially if he's paying for the lawyers of his co-conspirators. The more he spends on going to court, the less he gets to spend on his campaign.

Forcing his crappy legal team to continue dividing their attention between his fraud trial, his civil rape trial, his GA RICO trial, his federal indictments, and now before the Supreme Court on not just his bogus Presidential immunity claims but also being barred from the ballot in Colorado and Maine, makes it all the more likely that he loses in court in each instance.

• Forcing the Supreme Court to pick a side

Democracy or Insurrection. The Republicans on the Supreme Court can only choose one. The can follow the Constitution and rule that Trump is ineligible for office, or they can burn their credibility forever, polarize the nation against themselves and Trump, and drive up pro democracy turnout by giving Trump a pass for trying to overthrow the government.

• Fracturing the GOP

IF somehow the Supreme Court finds a way to split the baby by allowing states to bar Trump from the ballot if they choose, but not enforcing a federal ban, leaving Trump on the ballot in most states, the GOP will be divided between those who want Trump anyway, and those who are worried he won't be on the ballot in enough states in November or that even if he is, it's impossible to win.

The only thing keeping Trump's poll numbers afloat is that his base still believes he has a chance to win and the second that illusion evaporates, his polls will collapse as well.

• You still have to vote

No matter what happens, whether Trump is barred from holding office or not, no matter who the GOP nominee is, you still have to show up to vote. We still need the White House and Senate in order to fix the supreme court. We need to flip the House. We still need every state legislature/governorship or theyll ban access to abortion in every state.

And if Biden loses, whether it's to Trump or any other Republican, they're going to bail him out of going to prison and sabotage every Presidential election from now on. We'll never get our democracy back.

If fighting in court to keep Trumo off the ballot makes him weak so that beating the GOP is easier, it should be done.
