Like to try hillwalking? if so, on Fri, Nov 17 there is an open night 4 all in Cabragh Wetlands, Thurles at 7.30 pm. A welcome reception will be followed by presentations about hillwalking. Afterward, €16K raised by walkers, will be presented to 8 charities. Hope to cu there.

My mother, the rock and heartbeat of our family, passed away gently at 7.55 this morning. We are grief stricken but full of gratitude for her life and example, and that her suffering is no more. I know she will receive the reward of her long life of love.

Always a nice moment in an author's life. The final copy of my new book has finally been forwarded to my publishers at Currach BooKs. It is titled "Stories from the Irish Mountains and Hill Country" and it is due out in September.
