It’s really sad, but after the first recruiting weekend for the 2027 high school class, I had a couple of coaching friends tell me this week they can only take one or two high school players because they have to save spots for the transfer portal. I guess these kids have to go to lower levels and work their way up. A very small percentage will stay anywhere for four/five years. The new normal. 🤷🏼‍♂️🏀

Saddened to hear that former Cyclone Sundiata Patterson passed away on May 8 from cancer. Patterson is one of 10 Cyclones in school history to rush for 4+ TDs in a game (4 vs. Eastern Illinois in 1991).
