I’m Opening the Door—This Is My Story and What I’m Building

My name is Antonio James “Tony” Maben.

Before you donate, share, support, or judge this project, I want you to do something simple:

Look me up.

Look at where I came from. Look at the projects I have been part of, the mistakes I have made, the obstacles I have faced, and the work I have done trying to change my life and give something meaningful back.

I am not hiding my past, and I am not pretending to be perfect. Some people may see my history and decide they cannot support me. Others may see the distance I have traveled—from knowing almost nothing about technology and business to building a functioning technology platform—and understand why this work means so much to me.

I created GGIRL Technologies LLC because I believe technology should do more than generate profits for the people at the top. The people who provide the information, feedback, reports, creativity, attention, and activity that make platforms valuable deserve to be recognized for what they contribute.

The first major step in that mission is Velvet Wayz.

Velvet Wayz is a next-generation navigation platform being built around intelligent routing, road awareness, community hazard reporting, privacy, artificial intelligence, and the belief that people who help improve the system should share in the value they help create.

This is not just an idea or a drawing. A functioning application, live infrastructure, mapping systems, navigation tools, messaging, road intelligence, and the foundation of our AI assistant have already been built.

Now we are working to fully optimize, secure, test, and complete the application so every feature genuinely works the way it was intended.

I have invested thousands of hours into learning, building, testing, failing, repairing, and continuing forward. I have taken this as far as I can through determination and personal resources, but completing technology at this level requires real support.

Donations will help cover:

• Mapping and navigation services
• Mobile and real-world road testing
• Security and privacy protection
• AI and computer-vision development
• Android and future iOS preparation

Today was a big milestone.
We're not building another GPS.
We're building an AI-powered navigation platform that combines real-time mapping, computer vision, community reporting, and intelligent voice guidance into one experience.
One of the biggest design questions we've been tackling is:
🗺️ Should navigation always stay in map mode?
👁️ Should it always show augmented reality?
🔄 Or should it intelligently switch between the two only when it actually helps?
We're leaning toward the third option.
Technology should stay out of your way until you need it.
That's the philosophy behind Velvet Eye.
Beyond navigation, Velvet Wayz is designed to become a community where drivers, riders, hikers, cyclists, Jeep clubs, RV travelers, fleets, and road trip groups can share routes, hazards, scenic drives, discoveries, and local knowledge.
🏆 Our long-term vision
Users will earn in-app tokens for verified hazard reports, helpful road updates, and community participation.
Initially those tokens unlock in-app rewards.
As the platform grows and generates revenue, our goal is for earned tokens to eventually be redeemable for $GGIRL. That's not live today—but it's the direction we're building toward.
