Second charge lending continues to fall, coming in at 9% in Q3, from 11.6% in Q2, while first charges rises to a record 91% from 88.4% in Q2 as borrowers focused more on purchasing a property instead of releasing equity.

Data provided by @KnowledgeBankUK reports that regulated bridging continues to hold its position as the most searched-for term made by bridging finance brokers in Q3, following on from Q2.

Investment purchase rises to the most popular use of bridging finance, totalling to 24% of loans - a 6% increase from Q2, while loans for preventing a chain-break see a significant decline from 23% in Q2, falling to just 17% in Q3.
