I get that Mets' fans were down on Scherzer, and understandably so. Too many clunkers in big spots, especially last October. But the guy did make a huge impact last year with his work ethic, intensity, etc. I don't think anybody was more respected by teammates in that clubhouse.
Just another garden-variety nightmare for the Mets in Atlanta. Until they actually go down there and take care of business, this team is going to have a tough time winning back the trust of an unhappy fan base.
