It just doesn’t happen because the skill gap is too big. In the case for Usyk, it was the physicality and size he struggled with.

That being said, Rico deserves the rematch as that stoppage was after the bell 👍🏻

Should Rico have been allowed to continue into R12? Yes.

Was Rico doing really well up until R11? Yes.

Was he winning the fight? Well he only out-landed Usyk in 4/11 rounds. From my viewing, 5-5 after 10 rounds is a completely fair assessment, or 6-4 either way 👍🏻

Usyk would have been up on all 3 scorecards after 11, which is a completely fair assessment. If you think otherwise, you’re just letting the shock of what you’re witnessing give you a bias judgement.

I asked @eddiehearn why Matchroom decided against bidding on the @Realdevinhaney x @sandormartin super lightweight title fight, which Top Rank won. TR’s winning bid was for $2.42 million, per @DanRafael1.

Here’s what Hearn said:

“We don’t have a contract with Devin. It’s not an appealing fight, wasn’t a fight DAZN were motivated by or one that had any value. Devin is a free agent and has his own promotional company.”
