So Gov KNEW there was a CANCER risk with the manmade drug Synthetic Folic Acid (SFA) fortification.

They KNEW the risks to people with Vit B12 deficiency as well - but went ahead anyway. Even the FSA said NO do not make this mandatory in 2000.

There is a real risk of gestational diabetes for mothers & babies, who are still being advised to take SFA supplements. Stack that on top of a carb heavy diet, & going over the gov upper limit could happen: on a DAILY basis.

Nothing has changed & those risks remain, and millions of people are now at serious risk of further complications due to this soon to be new law. It's happening RIGHT NOW.

Add a drug to a hugely popular food staple, eaten by nearly the WHOLE population of the UK, who are completely UNAWARE it's happening & SOD the consequences.

The voluntary restrictions are exemption of *wholemeal, which isn't working as many producers are adding SFA anyway. (*gluten free too - reports from consumers suggest some GF lines are seeing SFA added, which is ridiculous considering it does not have flour in its ingredients)

OK. So listen up, @warburtons, @hovisbakery , @GoodTasteBakery @whitworths @uk_flour ... (I'm sure I've missed some) and all the supermarkets @sainsburys @Morrisons @asda @AldiUK @LidlGB @coopuk @waitrose @marksandspencer .... myself and many people I know will avoid any products containing the Folic Acid additive until you remove it. People should have the choice to be able to avoid this additive, given what the risks are. Please ignore the government mandate - if enough of you did this, the law would have to be repealed, it is not fit for purpose. Thank you for your consideration.

@RupertLowe10 Also, I work in a small team where only one person can be off at a time. I run a small business where I sometimes need to travel - dates are out of my control. Taking my child with me teaches her how to run a business & speak to all ages. Learning doesn’t only happen at school.
